Our Story
JobLaunchSA is operated by Astute Tech Foundation, a registered South African non-profit organisation (NPO 279-893, PBO 930085805) working out of Etwatwa, on the East Rand of Johannesburg. The Foundation focuses on digital skills and youth opportunity in township communities β JobLaunchSA is one of its programmes.
It started with a frustration. South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world, and the existing job platforms were built for people who already had jobs β filled with senior roles, requiring years of experience, and charging fees that most young people couldn't afford. Meanwhile, thousands of learnerships and YES Programme placements sat unfilled because the connection wasn't being made.
So we built the bridge. A platform that speaks the language of young South Africa. That explains what a SETA is, what NQF levels mean, how to write a CV with zero experience, and where to find the opportunities that actually match where you are in life right now β all for free, no sign-up required to browse.
We're just getting started. Our goal is to help young South Africans find their first job, learnership, or career opportunity. Every placement counts. Every CV downloaded matters. Every application submitted is one step closer to someone's future.
